BIO

An LA-based musician who hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Carlos Gonzalez is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and conductor who is currently attending California State University, Northridge. He is pursuing his graduate degree in Classical Trumpet Performance. He is also versatile in many styles including jazz, commercial, mariachi, orchestral, and wind band. He has studied under prolific trumpet players such as Erick Jovel, Tom Hooten, Howie Shear, and Bill Bing. He has his own private studio where he teaches young musicians how to play the trumpet. Some ensembles he has performed with include CYAS, the CSUN A and B Bands, CSUN Wind Ensemble, CSUN Symphony, and CSUN Brass Ensemble. He has also placed in the top four in the Bill Bing brass competition and has won the CSUN brass competition. With some of his ensembles he has gotten to travel around the world playing at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. He is also skilled in video editing, mixing and Sibelius. In his free time he likes to play video games and spend time with his loved ones.
